We are not accepting new patients at this time, with the exception of newborns who must pre-register with us prior to birth. We may resume acceptance of new patients in 2023. Thank you for you interest. --Dr. Mack, updated 1/6/23.

We are closed to all new Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care patients as of 6/7/21. If your newborn is a sibling of a patient of Dr. Mack's, then we will accept the new baby happily.

We do not have any open-house sessions, meet-the-doctor visits, or tours.

Wellness care from birth to age 18

Vaccinations for age 0-18 years, including seasonal flu vaccine

General pediatric sick/urgent visits

Diagnosis and maintenance of asthma, ADHD and teen depression/anxiety
Medical home:
Mack Pediatrics is the medical home for its patients. Mack Pediatrics is not an urgent care for any other doctor's office.
Hospital: Dr. Mack rounds at Rex Hospital for newborns.
Vaccination policy: Dr. Mack adheres to the AAP, ACIP/CDC vaccine schedule (link to vaccine schedule) for all required vaccines and strongly encourages all recommended vaccines. Your children's vaccinations should be in compliance with NC State Law for their age (0-4 years, kindergarten age, and middle school). Please seek a different medical practice for your medical home if you do not plan to vaccinate per the above-referenced schedules.

Flu shots are available for all patients as of 8/23/22, and for insured parents.

We are offering primary COVID vaccine series for ages 6 months through 5 years (before 6th birthday), AND bivalent COVID vaccine boosters for ages 6 months and up. Updated 1/18/23. We are no longer doing primary COVID vaccine series for ages 6 years and up. We use Moderna-only for age <12 years, and either Moderna or Pfizer for age 12+. Call 919-825-3600 to schedule the vaccination appointment. Reschedule if you or your child are sick. Please call to reschedule your child's wellness or vaccine visit if you or your child has or has had fever, cough, or cold within 10 days of the visit.

Masks are required for anyone age 3 years and older. We can provide masks and may ask you to reschedule appointment if mask is not worn.

All siblings should remain at home in the care of another adult. Per public health recommendations during the pandemic, only the patient and their parent (or pre-approved proxy) should attend a visit here.

Sick visits will be done by telehealth whenever possible, or in your car during COVID pandemic, effective 4/21/2020, last updated 5/17/22.

Please limit after-hours calls to illness/injury questions only, out of general courtesy. Scheduling, rescheduling, and general interest calls should be made during regular business hours Monday through Friday.

We do not accept patients who are uninsured, self-pay, HealthShare, or out-of-network.
We also do not accept new patients with Aetna, Ambetter, Medicaid (including Managed Care Plans), or any HealthShare insurances (Liberty, Trinity, Medishare, Zion, etc).

Please bring current insurance card with you to every visit.
If you cannot provide proof of an active insurance policy, we will collect a $50 deposit or accept payment in full at time of service.
At the time service is rendered, please be prepared to pay your copay or a $50 deposit for high-deductible plans without copay or temporarily uninsured. If your insurance plan has a deductible (regardless of copay), you will be billed for the balance after your insurance company has let us know the amount they will pay. If your deductible has been met we will credit your account for any excess payments received or send you a reimbursement check. If you are self-pay/uninsured, you may pay the remainder of the balance at the end of the visit. If necessary, a payment plan can be arranged.
We accept personal checks, cash, AMEX, Discover, MasterCard, and VISA.

Urgent Care:
Dr. Mack is available after hours by phone for illness or injury questions. For urgent medical problems that cannot wait until regular hours, she may meet established patients at the office.
